At the New York Person-Centered Resource Center, we believe that people have an inherent capacity to select what is best for themselves. Under conditions that allow them to clarify their needs and identify their natural problem-solving impulses, they will begin to grow, and develop their full potential. Our practice finds its roots in the work of American psychologist Carl Rogers, Client-Centered Therapy, The Person-Centered Approach, as well as other forms of Humanistic Psychology, and the Psychiatry Reform movement.
