Daniel Hazen is a survivor of the psychiatric and penal systems. Daniel is a human rights activist, advocate, and organizer, working nationally and internationally. Currently, Daniel is the Executive Director with Voices of the Heart, Inc., located in Queensbury, NY that promotes and defends the rights and interests of people who have been labeled “mentally ill”. His current projects include the Peer Respite/Run Away House, Human Rights violation reportline, alternatives healing project, Coming Off Psychiatric Drugs and Harm Reduction Support and Hearing Voices and Visions and Extreme States Support.
