I think there needs to be higher standards for the publication of books on scientific topics.
As a layperson I am not qualified to evaluate books on psychology and unless a book is reviewed well by expert/peers I shouldn’t read it lest I become misinformed. I can’t find any reviews of James Davies book Cracked, so I really shouldn’t read it, or if I do, I can’t be confident if what he says is the truth.
