From Medical Xpress: Racism is a major public health issue that is correlated with physical and mental health problems including depression, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, breast cancer and premature death among people of color. Our healthcare system needs to address healthcare disparities in black communities as well as racial bias among medical professionals.
