The Intuitive Parent: A Guide For Tapping Into Your Deepest Instincts

The following interview is part of a cutting-edge series of video interviews called Parenting Today: Raising Strong, Resilient Kids being aired exclusively on Mad in America.

Today’s guest is Anna Yusim, MD. Dr. Yusim is a Manhattan-based psychiatrist on the Clinical Faculty at Yale Medical School and is the best-selling author of Fulfilled: How the Science of Spirituality Can Help You Live a Happier, More Meaningful Life. She completed her undergraduate education at Stanford, where she studied Biology & Philosophy. She attended Yale Medical School, where she is presently creating a Spirituality and Mental Health Program. Dr. Yusim has published over 70 academic articles, book chapters, scientific abstracts and book reviews on various topics in psychiatry. In the midst of her academic life, Dr. Yusim began to feel that something was missing from her life. In her quest to find it, she travelled, lived and worked in over 50 countries, while studying Kabbalah, learning Buddhist meditation, and working with South American shamans and Indian gurus.
