From The Wall Street Journal: “Sens. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) and Angus King (I., Maine) introduced a bill Thursday that would ban pharmaceutical manufacturers from using direct-to-consumer advertising, including social media, to promote their products.

The bill would prohibit any promotional communications targeting consumers, including through television, radio, print, digital platforms and social media. It will apply to all prescription drug advertisements.

“The American people don’t want to see misleading and deceptive prescription drug ads on television,” Sanders said in a statement. “They want us to take on the greed of the pharmaceutical industry and ban these bogus ads.”

  1. Too little too late. They have been allowing these pharma companies to harm people for decades. All of a sudden people are going to suddenly believe they care? What a bunch of nonsense. Those who enabled all of this harm and abuse to innocent people need to be held accountable. They have committed a crime against humanity. For decades they have been waging a war on our consciousness to control us. They want to control what we think, what we feel, how we act, how we perceive the world, and what perspectives and views we have. They want to control everything we do. Nothing will change until accountability is demanded from these people. Appealing to an abusive system that has allowed millions of people to be abused will not work. Peoples lives have been destroyed by these poisons and many have ended their lives from taking these poisons that those in power lied to them about and told them were medications. Their declining health was ignored and no one cared how much they were suffering. Accountability for these crimes against humanity is the only way forward. These crimes against humanity have altered the fabric of the reality and universe we live in. The world feels more empty because all of the innocent souls that have been lost. They died for no reason and society allowed them to be abused and neglected until that abuse eventually took their lives. This is beyond tragic. There are no words that could ever express how evil and corrupt their actions are. They have brought more darkness into this world as a result of their crimes.
