Susan Rogers – Long Bio

…CHANGING THE THINGS I CAN’T ACCEPT

A writer, editor, and advocate, Susan Rogers has been active in the movement for social justice since 1984. She is the recipient of the 2011 Judi Chamberlin Joy in Advocacy Award from the National Coalition for Mental Health Recovery, and the 2013 Clifford W. Beers Award from Mental Health America. Susan is inspired by Angela Davis’s response to the Serenity Prayer: “I am no longer accepting the things I cannot change. I’m changing the things I can’t accept.” She writes in hopes of speaking truth to power.
