The New York Times reports that a growing number of infants and toddlers are being prescribed dangerous psychiatric drugs. “Almost 20,000 prescriptions for risperidone (commonly known as Risperdal), quetiapine (Seroquel) and other antipsychotic medications were written in 2014 for children 2 and younger, a 50 percent jump from 13,000 just one year before.”

And the drug companies are laughing all the way to the bank! These kids will be an ongoing source of money for the drug companies since the SSRI’s and the neuroleptics induce the very things that they’re supposed to “treat” so they’ll be labeled as bi-polar and schizophrenic and get to take the toxic drugs for the rest of their lives. And of course their lives will be shortened by 20-25 years because of their taking these damned things.
What is happening in this country when doctors are willing to prescribe these things to babies and parents are willing to poke them down their children’s throats? Our society is spinning out of control at an alarming rate when we’re willing to allow 20,000 babies to be drugged into oblivion!

And when the drugs to calm an infant down, and they do better at day care or kindergarten, then the drugs will fly off the shelves. But are these drugs are a good long term solution?

Good thing we have mis- and uninformed pediatricians handing out mind altering psychotropics like they’re candy to all the little children, including the infants and toddlers (sarcasm). Perhaps, the pediatricians should be educated regarding the reality that the UN has claimed “forced psychiatric treatment,” with antipsychotics like Risperdal and Seroquel, “is torture.” Thus, forced treatment of children with these “torture” drugs is immoral and unethical behavior.
And it was likely unwise of the psychiatric industry to claim their atypical antipsychotics were “new wonder drugs,” prior to realizing their actual serious adverse effects, especially in children. Like the atypical antipsychotics are now known to grow large, lactating breasts in little boys, they cause atrophy of the brain, extreme weight gain, diabetes, can result in “emotional blunting, apathy, hypobulia, difficulty in thinking, difficulty or total inability in concentrating, attention deficits, and desocialization,” or even “memory loss, disorientation, incoherence, hallucinations, psychosis, delirium, hyperactivity, twitching or jerking movements, stereotypy, and seizures.”
Yeah to the psychiatrists who claimed to “know everything about the meds,” but actually are just fools or greed inspired sickos who create “mental illnesses” in their patients, with their drugs, for profit. And now they have the misinformed mainstream doctors pushing their “torture” drugs onto millions of little children now, too. Really, it’s so disgusting it staggers my mind. I’m shocked at the stupidity and / or total lack of ethics of today’s mainstream medical community.

I read the same article and was struck by the same thing. The drugging of children can be reduced by increasing the population of child psychiatrists seemed to be the gist of the conclusion. Now, as far as far fetched conclusions go, that one ought to win an award.

Yes, the psychiatrists believe a stay at home mom, who had saved enough money to pay up front for her half of her family home prior to having children so I could afford to properly raise my children while working on my art portfolio and heading up a 250+ strong volunteer organization while also doing a bunch of other volunteer activities including being on the planning commission of my village, qualifies me to be defamed by psychiatrists as “unemployed,” “w/o work, content, and talent,” “irrelevant to reality” and therefore worthy of being stigmatized with one of their mental illnesses and tortured via anticholinergic intoxication syndrome poisoning.
Definitely, our current leaders’ psychiatric minions are in the business of attempting to murder the stay at home moms. They’re not bringing in enough tax revenues for our government and the Federal Reserve bankers, rumor has it.
What’s ironic is both my former psychiatrist and psychologist have drugged up, mentally ill children. But my children are doing quite well, one was valedictorian of his high school graduating class, the other hopefully will make salutatorian. And all my friends who were stay at home moms have children who were in the top of their classes, too. My friends and I absolutely noticed that the children who were properly raised by stay at home moms did much, much better in school, than those children who were not.
And stay at home moms actually add more value to society fiscally as well.

Long term usage is problematic as whitakers book shows. Short term maybe ok. But coming off is also tough.
And yes they always come out of the gate proclaiming miraculous benefits then pay fines and backpedal.
How can we trust after 329? After risperdal and gynecomastia link? After anatomy of an epidemic? They have squandered the trust of the public IMHO.
