Selling Adult ADHD: NPR Coverage Helps Advance Drug Industry

From HealthNewsReview: NPR recently reported on a study claiming that a test of just six simple questions can reliably diagnose adults with ADHD. Unknown to NPR readers was the fact that the study had received funding from five drug companies that market ADHD medications.

  1. National Psychiatric Radio strikes again. And this exert from the article says everything.

    “”Whenever I see something that looks and smells and walks like an ad, I look at who’s paying. Much to my surprise and chagrin, I found that even NPR takes funding from drug companies. (Their list of supporters includes the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.)””
