From Pacific Standard: Recent studies have debunked two common myths about creativity and the brain: that the right hemisphere is solely responsible for creative thought, and that poetry is something only an elite few have the capacity to appreciate. One study suggests that creativity is not associated with one hemisphere but with a strong connection between the two hemispheres; the other study shows that our brains respond to poetry, whether or not we are consciously aware of it.
