From Mad in Sweden: Two doctors who assessed the same patient cases arrived at the same psychiatric diagnosis in about 55 percent of the cases. This is shown by an international study of over a thousand doctors from 19 countries, published in Frontiers in Psychiatry. The researchers state that the reliability of psychiatric diagnostics is still limited – despite decades of standardized diagnostic criteria.
