Levine about his new book, A Profession Without Reason: The Crisis of Contemporary Psychiatry―Untangled and Solved by Spinoza, Freethinking, and Radical Enlightenment (2022). Among the topics they discuss are the role that fear plays in getting the general population to go along with something that is hurting them, and the trend of seeing mental illness diagnoses as as much a part of people’s identity as their race, sexual preference, gender, etc.
